Designer - 'Heartless' 2008 Director - Kieran Flynn For this i created a set for the Interior of a Log Cabin set on a mountain in 1950's Germany, along with the props and graphics. The Director requested vivid fungus to be growing out of the wall which had to be of a particular shape and height for a certain scene, he also requested the omission of anything Army related. Director & Set Designer - 'The Butterfly Tattoo' 2007 Director - Phil Hawkins Responsible for the design and dressing of the only built set (Interior Canal Boat), also designed the Interior and Exterior of a squat, dressed the exterior locations along with the creation/sourcing of many props and graphics. Originally i was the Production Designer on this but half way through shooting i was really getting stressed out and my lack of experience showed when trying to organize such a big production. The Producers suggested having Gareth Thomas (my Art Director at the time) organize the Art Department while I continue to take the credit of Production Designer. But I was uncomfortable with this; I didn't want to be credited with someone else's work, so with Gareth's agreement, I told the producers we were swapping roles altogether. I was happy to swap with Gareth as he had 10 years experience in the industry and was very good at organizing the team. Art Department Budget was £5000 Click on poster for portfolio work |
