Human Residue was a sci-
My main job on this was to design and create a set to use as the ‘POD’ an isolated living station where the characters are living and then trapped inside; I researched underground bunkers and living stations used for long term expeditions in inhospitable environments. I designed a complete POD with the requested Living & Sleeping Quarters and Communications room. But the eventual budget could not afford so much, so I designed one set which could be amended to create the living & sleeping quarters. I used what I had learnt from my first film and designed the set to have ‘wild’ panels which could be removed and put back on easily, these allowed access for the camera and also provided the frame to create lighting panels in the wall.
I also created Graphics, the largest being the compound map and sourced and made props. I amended some locations like the corridor the characters use to escape which was an existing room where I added in a wall to create a corridor.
On this project I was leading the construction team, I ordered all the materials and planned the schedule, and physically build and dressed the set.
